Scientific Network "Power under Pressure. (Re-)constructions of the Figure of the Pre-modern Ruler between Challenges and Contentions" (10/2020-09/2022)
Over a period of two years, scholars from Germany and abroad will investigate the question of "(Re-) constructions of pre-modern Ruler Figures between Challenge and Assertion". In doing so, methods as well as specific topics from the perspectives of disciplines of Classical Studies (Ancient Oriental Studies, Old Testament Studies, New Testament Studies, Classical Antiquity, Classical Archaeology, Church History) as well as Byzantine Studies, Arabic Studies and Medieval History will be discussed.
